Saturday, August 27, 2011 With the impending Hurricane barreling down on the Delaware Valley, the 3rd Annual Find a cure for Autism still went off without a hitch. A soggy crowd arrived 3 hours early to the Phoenix Hall to support this great cause. The evening MC, Mr. Stephen Herre himself, entertained the crowd between sets from the live entertainment. There were also over 80 baskets auctioned off filled with various prizes donated by supporters. A little rain did not stop the overwhelming support of all our friends and families that have continually supported this great cause. We would like to thank everyone who help plan and organize this event. We would also like to thank all the emergency responders that took time out to stop by the event in the midst of a hurricane. We hope to see everyone at the walk on September 24th at Citizen's Bank Park.

Tuesday, May 24, 2011 In a fiercely closely fought battle at the first annual Rita’s Water Ice Autism Speaks Cops vs. Fireman “scoop” off, the championship trophy goes home to the Fireman. The competition was neck and neck until the folks from the Delaware County 911 Center put the fireman over the top with a $250 order. At the end of the day, Autism Awareness took home top billing. We are fortunate that we live in a community that our local emergency services are able work together for charity. We like to thank the Aston Township Police Department, The Green Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, and Ron Evans for bringing his “Fire Bike”, Aston PD K-9 “Jax”, and especially the awesome staff at Rita’s Water Ice of Aston. A special Thank you to all of the folks that came out for a great cause.
